Turkey signed in 1984 the Convention which aimed to protect species and habitats that particularly needed protection. A “Group of Experts on Invasive Alien Species” works under the Bern Convention to analyse the impacts of invasive alien species on sectors and issues guidelines to minimize their adverse impacts. The Group focuses more on terrestrial species, with limited work on marine species
